Deki Goes BRRRRRR at 0% fan speed and full send at boot

Hello all!

I've just installed my new 4028 to my hot end, followed the instructions posted online and the moment I turn the printer on it's goes BRRRRRRRRR and doesn't stop until i put the fan to 100% speed on Mainsail (?!)

Before I route the ground to the hotend as show in this guide, is this the resolution to my problem? My last Deki was fried and it took a while for this one to show up so i don't want to kill another one!!
