Avalhalla works on desktop but if i open the game directly on steam on game mode its not detecting the controls

Aujust update run rpm-ostree update internally, afaik rpm-ostree upgrade is also an alias to update so no problem
CIf you really want to be sure you're up to date you don't even need to type on the terminal, just run the 'Update System' shortcut from your app launcher

Kwe use btrfs by default so if you've manually partitioned as ext4 it's going to be ignored without updating that.
