Alien Isolation not working
The game works mostly well until a certain point where it says "error writing hard drive cache" or something along those lines. All solutions Ive seen online is running the game as administrator. However, I dont know if that is possible on linux without just using sudo.
How would I go about at least trying this solution? Any help is appreciated.
Im using linux mint, flatpak and wine-ge-26-x86_54

hi I just got steam deck, installed heroic, connected epic game store installed Alien Isolation, but unable to start the game.
Things I tried:
Uncheck BattlEye AntiCheat Runtime and EasyAntiCheat Runtime
Checked Use Steam Runtime
in the logs I see:
gamemodeauto: dlopen failed - libgamemode.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
can you please help

in general you don't want to check the use steam runtime
don't change the settings heroic has by default unless you know what you are doing

wow that's old
go to heroic's wine manager on the left side bar, install latest proton-ge then go to heroic's settings on the left side bar and enable umu.. then in the game's settings, set it to use proton-ge-latest..
then delete this folder and run the game again
also enable esync and fsync again

Hi,
I recently updated my deck and heroic launcher to the latest. Also the proton ge to latest.
I am able to launch the game Aline isolation from steam, but input doesnt work after the games launches and I am stuck in the initial menu 'Press any button"
Can someone please help
nvm, after I chose the proton-ge-latest in the game settings and restart the steam deck it started worked.
