Part-Cooling-Fan is running on 100%

My freshly "installed" V-Core 4 300 has his Part-Cooling-Fan running on 100%, after Boot. Everything is udated, but i don't know what to do.

There's been confusion and doc updates about which wire to the fan is the PWM one. Depending on which fan you get, you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. You probably just need to hook the pwm pin up to the other not-power wire on your fan. Otherwise how are you enjoying your new vacuum cleaner sound-alike? 🤣

Thanks for the info, now i need to rewire the fan with my own connectors and not with that piece of crap connectors they delivered with the printer. And for sure @RatRig for the whole wiring is a lot of space for improvement, you really messed it up

Don't be too bitter, as an early bird the guide was straight up wrong, and I needed an oscilloscope to get mine right. You just had to make post 🤣

I change wiring, have the same. Change fan to red pin, change voltage to 12 v and add to config [fan] enable_pin: PD15

Rule #4, make your own post please. Include your printer.cfg and we'll take a look 🙂

is it ok, that the part-cooling-fan is running on 100% on startup? and if not, what can i do to fix it, because i think it takes longer on every start until the printer reponses !?!

It is ok that the part cooling fan is running at 100% during power up the printer.

Connecting a 4028 fan | RatOS
4028 server fans are becoming a popular option for part cooling because of their light weight and great pressure and flow rates. In this guide we'll go over how to connect one and use it for part cooling. 4-pin fans usually aren't used in 3d printers, and many boards only provide 2-pin ports, but fear not! There's always a way.

it didnt work for me. The guide says that the PWM should be connected to the toolboard, and it's definetely not working, I tried to connect to the Octopus F407 and no changes as well. Using a V-core 4 500 Hybrid. I tried 2 different part fans.

What is your problem? 100% running fan? This is the way to fix that:

I could solve it today. I connected the red and black on Fan 5 and then enable the pin PD15. The PWM remained on the tool board. Using the fan 7 (it´s a always on) didnt work for me at all. Here is my printer.cfg in case someone has the same problem [fan] pin: !toolboard_t0: fan_part_cooling_pin cycle_time: 0.0004 enable_pin: PD15 The build guide needs to improve a lot on this part, because a lot of people had this kind of problem
