The sign next to a right chest says "Have a +50% chance to reach compromise, but you will heal twice as less." You can only open one chest. If you open two chests, you die and go back to the first room.

The right chest (#2), though, offers you a better sword made out of copper, but every time you try to reach compromise, it's only going to get worse.
