Ordered this beauty of a bag a few days ago! Can’t wait for it to arrive

Honestly it looks like the dying process causes a lot of color variation; the pictures above are from 3 different stores but are all completely different shades
Browsing the new collection has me wanting to pick up a jacket or pants before this even gets here
Kakishibu can do some crazy stuff! It’s not usually so grey though
:happy_thonk:
I've not heard of this before
i have it and i would say these pictures are a good representation of the colour of the bag (mine at least):

this brand is cool 👍
:letsfuckinggo: hell yeah it is
her stuff just reminds me of like garment dyed auralee tbh
not that its a bad thing
i can see that, for me auralee falls a bit more ivy/ dressed up than YS
i feel like its more evan kinori, kinda burlap sack but in a cool way coded
bit more slouchy than auralee
Do you know any other brands that fall into this sort of spectrum? I’ve been on the lookout… Evan Kinori and YS are definitely the closest to one another
Maybe Aidama?

Neighbour
Neighbour
Neighbour was founded in Vancouver, BC in 2011. We carry clothes, items and objects that we admire. Some we have followed for years and others have stepped into our life more recently. They are objects, they are garments and they are books that tell stories. We hope you admire the things we have found as much as we do.
anything the neighbor has
Casey Casey
the man-tle shop is also very well curated to that vibe
CHCM as well
Taiga Takahashi
i love mr kinori but i also found the styling of his stuff a little stiff or like bland for some reason
but the garmentd themselves r v cute
i love the clothes the styling is not it
half the time the pics just feel off
i also think the full uniform is just not a good look LMAO
but his stuff looks good mixed w/ other ppl
or with like a white tee
Evan Kinori talk in the YS thread. YS talk in the Evan Kinori thread
you are both of these people
basicaly same same
check out aviva jifei xue

My man can’t resist the allure of talking about Niche Tasteful Brands
And we’re all the better for it
haha fr, i checked in thinking some of you might be going to the glasswing event over the weekend!
I heavy thought about it!! Did u go? Mostly wanted to look at the ceramics tbh
yeah i did, and my partner got some ceramics 😂
it was good vibes, saw some familiar faces there. got to check out some of the new EK materials too that i hadnt seen yet
Sounds lovely ☺️. Stop at cantina sauvage or donna’s or anything?
i did i did
and yeah, they have a huge Yoko buy
lots of excitement around it
Yeah only stockists not in NY I think?
Very cool of them hope it does well and sticks around.
the prices are a little crazy, especially if you know how to proxy..which unfortunately, anyone who is familiar with yoko sakamoto probably does. but they were selling a lot of pieces that night, so im happy for them
and nothing replaces being able to try things on in person
Goat
def check out omar afridi
I still need to gooo
I've been to colbo
for the folks that have YS pieces, how it’s going? how’s the quality? do you wear the piece a lot?
Love my jeans
Not sure I could’ve paid full price but that might say more about me
Super comfortable. Definitely a fixture
Added these pants to the tail end of a proxy buy but I’ve only had the chance to wear them once so far (and apparently didn’t take a picture that day)…

Quality wise, they’re solid, feel substantial, and hellllla warm (it’s why I put them on that day)… cool details too that aren’t really visible unless seen close up (some thin red vertical stripes and just the texture overall). At the end of the day though they’re joggers, and I think I would find more opportunities to get good use out of them if they were regular hemmed pants
That said I knew what I was buying, and I have some ideas for some good fits incorporating them. If I really struggle maybe I’ll figure out how to uncuff them😛
nice to hear about the jeans. regarding paying full price for it, I’m having those thoughts too, since I don’t know first hand experience yet but I always love a deal lol.
that fabric is interesting, looks like a good fun pair of easy pants to toss on. if you have some extra length on them and can make it work with a regular hem, go for it!
@Robertoh @Saltbender @Horsegirl Boy Question about your jackets; do they say the season on the tag like this?

Because mine looks like this

I highly doubt that there's fake YS so I'm not worried about that
Just curious
Mine doesn't

May just be seasonal variance
Like something they either used to do or started doing at some point
Yeah that was my thought
"Do not tumble drys"
Either that or I got a sample
Because mine is different from the one I saw on a retailer's site
I would guess seasonal variance but who knows, mine looks just like yours
It has the chest pocket on the inside instead of the outside

But this one from their instagram is like mine
Yeah I think it was just a design choice, i like it
Me too
I don't think yours is a sample fwiw
But what do I know
Yeah probably not

I dont follow ys drops quite as closely to know better but just know there are a few variations of this jacket over the last few seasons
It looks great
How do you like the fit?
That's the one from the retailer with the outside pocket
I love it
Really voluminous and I was worried that the sleeves wouldn't fit me quite as intended because of my height but they do
Super long
@Robertoh Here's how it looks on me

The big sleeves are part of the draw imo
Oh yeah for sure
That's what I liked most about it when I saw yours and the others
But I was worried they'd hit too high on my wrist
But you can see that it's no problem
I'm 6'3" so have problems with a lot of Japanese brands lengths
Yeah length is great on you!
Pretty wild that we are both a medium
I'm like 5'9/5'10ish
So the more cropped cut of mine is probably better for me
I was a small in some brands not all that long ago lol

Yeah happy I stumbled upon this one instead. The cropped one looks great on you and the others but I probably wouldn't have been happy with it long term
Yeah I think it was a good call
Looks cool on you!
Thanks!
And would maybe be too long on me in the medium ha
I'm usually a medium/large so was afraid to size down in this one any more
I was a tiny bit nervous going for a medium given that it's a Japanese brand but I think a large would have even been too big for me
This one measures 27" p2p
Yeah totally
As much as I'm a proponent of taking measurements, my concept of what ideal pit to pit measurements has completely blown up over the last year or so ha
So does the Steven Alan shirt I got and that's tagged XL lol
I more have a minimum
Yeah same
But have some that are in excess of 30" and just don't care anymore
I like 25" minimum for shirts
And I have like a 39" chest
I haven't gotten anything quite that big yet but I'd like to try it out
I have to measure the aidama stuff I got recently
Because it's definitely in contention for largest shirt I own
Yeah, excited to see you wear that
I like that a French brand is doing cool stuff like that, to get a tiny bit nationalistic lol
I wore a full aidama suit to dinner the other night! And it also fits my much smaller partner which is cool
If I make it back over at some point in the near future I definitely want to check them out
