I mean a crude way is to just spawn a window and make it hidden. But that is not cross-platform friendly at all.

i'm not a big gamer but some of the games i play atm don't work on linux cause of the anticheat
i still wanna play them though so i could do one of a few things:

Dual boot a windows partition, although I don't plan to use secure boot so many games won't work anyway (and it's also a bit of a pain)
Give in and only use windows (not an option I like much, but possible)
Have 2 machines, one is my main desktop pc, other is a "steam machine" that runs windows (expensive but not a bad option)
