Polychromatic and OpenRazer not working

It says my Razor cynosa chroma wasn’t detected by the openrazer daemon. When i click troubleshoot it says “install the openrazer-driver-dkms” which I’ve tried but get the error “dkms; command not found” I also tried adding myself to the plugdev group but get “plugdev does not exist in /etc/group” am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
