How do you configure Steam Gaming Mode to use the full capabilities of an external monitor?

I've just installed Bazzite with Steam Gaming Mode alongside Bluefin on my desktop PC, and Steam Gaming Mode is using 1080p/60fps instead of my monitor's 1440p/165fps specs. I'd like to increase the resolution and framerate of Steam Gaming Mode to 1440p and 165fps, respectively. This is my first time using Steam Gaming Mode, and I'm not sure how to change that. I looked through the settings menu to no avail, and I couldn't find anything about this in the documentation. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.
Solution:
I've found my own solution! After around 2 hours of trying overly complicated tweaks, it turned out to be as simple as disabling "Automatically Set Resolution" under "Gamescope 25" Display Scaling". That brings up a dropdown which lets me choose 1440pp/165fps. It can be found under Options > Display.
