Want to dualboot bazzite/Windows with a bootloader onally. But it cant be controlled with controller
It Looks Like it’s possible to Navigate the bootloader with (build in) Controller on the rog ally but you need to tweak some thinks but I dont know how / want to Change to get to to work

Interesting, didn't know that you can configure rEFInd to work with a controller, no idea how to do that though. The solution I use is to add a boot-windows shortcut in steam. There is a ujust command for that
ujust setup-boot-windows-steam
. When you run boot-windows from Steam, Bazzite will reboot and the next boot will be Windows (if you reboot Windows, you are back in Bazzite). This is only a plausable solution if you are in Bazzite 95%+ percent of the time.I also thougt about this I and maybe I will do this but I’m a Fan of bootloader. I used on the steam Deck. Do you know how to enaybel touch Input atleast?
Actually... I found a much simpler solution on the Ally. alternately mash the volume up and volume down buttons when booting the Ally. This seems to load the "Please select boot device" screen rather than loading the BIOS. Then you can just use the dpad and "A" button to select the OS to load
seeing if I can reproduce consistently
Seems to work consistently
For my rEFInd setup it looks like it doesn't work with Secure boot on... which I'd prefer to keep enabled
This Version I know but I’m Not a Fan of it. I Want a screen where I can Chose the os when I’m turning it on. And secure boot of isnt a problem for me
It looks like you cannot use the controller or touchscreen with rEFInd unless you've selected refind via mashing the volume up button, if you don't then the controller and touchscreen are not active during boot. Which defeats the purpose of using rEFInd in the first place.
So it doesn't look like rEFInd is an option
Is there a wait to do this ?
Or an other bootloader with touch / Controler Input
The problem is that the touch screen isn't active during boot unless you have pressed the volumn up button during boot. I think it's an Asus issue.
But the controler is on so maybe there is a bootloader wich can use controler Input
Or Change the Right Joystick that it Act like an mouse
Steam Deck does that
The controller does nothing for me during boot. But that's a good point might be able to switch the controller to mouse mode.
Tested a few things. It looks like right joystick as a mouse, controller and touch screen all do not work in refind unless you boot with pressing the volumn up key and select refind in the list. Suspect all the other boot loaders will be the same but feel free to try them
