is this a DH or shader bug ?

This post is about 2 different topics. First, whenever I see someone take a screenshot of their world with the DH mod, it seems to me that they always have a good render of the FAR away chunks, but with me for some reason, the textures render but they are unicolored or miss details. In the first image per example, idk if it is normal or not, but the spruce forest on the right side looks super weird. Also in the second image, it is the same issue with the forest on the left side and the cherry trees, the spruce forest on right side and also the highest point of the snow of mountain. In the third image, you can see it especially with the the small mountain behind the nether portal and the cherry trees, and then with the forest on the right and the cherry trees. In the settings I set the CPU usage as balanced the LOD at 128. Also, idk if this is relevant but sometimes I think maybe my CPU / GPU are no strong enough ? I have a Ryzen 7 6800H and an RTX 3060, 16gb of RAM and in the advanced settings I switched the 2gb of allocated RAM to 8, and I run the game with 70 fps. When close to a lot of entities (like a villager trading hall / breeder) I drop to 29 fps. I was also wondering if making Minecraft run on a dedicated GPU would fix / improve some of these issues ? I found this video for that : https://youtu.be/b-skXHedB78?si=x4h-Fs0ie-fZkvIT Now for the second part. I recently took screenshots after defeating the ED and as I was going through my screenshots to share them here I found these pictures. Its the triangles / rectangles that are coming out of the dragon that look weird and I was just wondering if this is normal or a bug ? Edit : I use ComplementaryReimagied shaders

DH seems to be working correctly. the youtubers with the video's just have way better hardware, so they can push the vanilla render distance a lot higher. about the end screenshots, no idea. about the dedicated gpu, can you send a screenshot with f3 open? side note: remove indium it also doesnt look like all 128 chunks have generated yet, so you will have to wait longer for all of the chunks to be generated also, you should update DH to 2.2.1 and probably update your other mods too

you want me to switch to the dedicated gpu and then take the screenshot for the F3 or before I switch to it ?

open up minecraft and send the screenshot, before you do anything

those screenshots were taken after like hours of playing and not immediately after loading the world

minecraft is already using your gpu so you dont need to configure anything

oh okay yea I didn't realize should I not change anything about my DH settings ?

if you want faster chunk generation but worse fps, you could increase the cpu load in dh's settings
Josephir
JosephirOP2w ago
ok I'll check that out

I took another screenshot (it is zoomed in), but like yea this is what I was mainly taking about earlier. Sorry for pushing again but I just keep wondering if this is really normal with DH

looks about right DH renders at a lower quality so your PC doesnt explode with large render distances
