Getting a couple of shirts made today! Need some advice

Dear community, I'm looking to get a couple shirts made today to take advantage of the black Friday sale. I've attached photos of the fabrics/shirt I'm looking at. I Was thinking of getting something in flannel (either a pattern like the shirt shown or a flat colour like the dark brown fabric). My friends are suggesting black or grey corduroy, but I've never worn corduroy in my life. The shirts would be made to measure, so fit should be okay. I'm 45, slim, active. These shirts are intended for casual wear: Like going to a restaurant, hanging out at a cottage, going for brunch, etc. I tend to go for simple (unambitious?) clothes, maybe to my detriment. I have right now a couple oxford shirts (light blue and lavender), some flat colors (brown, dark blue, black), some striped shirts. The kind of feedback I've been getting is things like "the bright colour flannels you're choosing are too crazy and just look bad" (not shown below), or "the dark grey flannel is like my grandpa". Would love to get some advice, and hear any reasons.

if you like the loud flannels, send it tbh who cares what someone thinks if the shirt makes you happy then its a win

let’s see the too crazy flannels of the fabrics you posted, I would only avoid the ginghams, the rest seem good

The reason I say that is because they were very very popular about a decade ago, and in my opinion look dated as a result

I like the orange one too but it is loud and a little harder to wear. I’d probably wear it open over a white tee, or under a cardigan

Yeah I should probably focus on easy to wear things as I'm sort of rebuilding my wardrobe I can branch out in later purchases Right now I don't have anything casual except tshirts and hoodies looking for something in between that and oxford shirts?

Yeah I think you’ve got the right idea. I think the most important thing is that you like what you buy Like I’ve bought things before to “check a box”, but I didn’t really like them that much, and so I didn’t end up wearing them much

That's a good point. On the other hand, I've been pushed into buying things by friends and they became my favorite clothes. I guess I don't know my taste that well. Like the black curdoroy that everyone is suggesting is so far from my comfort zone, but maybe they're right?

Black corduroy could be fine, but I wouldn’t say it’s definitely better than any other option here

I would even say it's not as good as the other options here

Personally i love corduroy and would definitely recommend it for a slightly heavier weight shirt akin to a flannel. I would not go with black though as it appears dirty or covered in lint very easily. I would opt for an earthier tone since it adds a bit of color but easy to match, Dark green and brown look great in corduroy For a flannel i think id opt for a plaid over a solid color i think the pattern in image 5 is nice
