Ji don't use VS, but stackoverflow says this

Jthen based on what i posted, the padlock means you didn't change anything in the file so there's nothing to commit

Mthats the thing though, i would make the edits right, but then i hit ctrl + s to "save" for it to update so i can see the changes on my browser
Mbut it does show those changes on the browser, when i close the project and reopen, sometimes it does even show the edits i made before
