1.21.4 crash with fireworks + particle weirdness

Firework particles have become extremely funny, running through a load of different item textures as they fly upwards (see attached image). Significantly less funny if made with a firework star as the explosion immediately shits the bed and crashes the game. Could possibly be related to that wind charge bug someone mentioned earlier since both are particle related.
