Game devs dont work weekend generally

it's not up to heroic to solve that, you have to use the paid version of crossover with heroic
to be clear, heroic doesn't RUN the game, it tells crossover to run it
you can play the game with heroic, you have to configure the game to use the paid version of Crossover

Install and launch the application.
Install the Game:
Log into your Epic Games or GOG account in Heroic Games Launcher.
Install Marvel Rivals.
Enable Wine Compatibility Layer:
In Heroic Games Launcher, go to the game's settings.
Set the compatibility layer to use Wine by pointing to the GPTK Wine installation (usually located at /opt/homebrew/Cellar/game-porting-toolkit).
5. Create a new Wine prefix for the game:
mkdir -p ~/WinePrefixes/MarvelRivals
WINEPREFIX=~/WinePrefixes/MarvelRivals game-porting-toolkit
6. Configure Wine for DirectX: Run Wine configuration for the game:
WINEPREFIX=~/WinePrefixes/MarvelRivals winecfg
7. Launch the Game
In Heroic, make sure the game executable uses the Wine version provided by GPTK.
Start the game through Heroic Games Launcher. If you encounter issues:
Enable debugging logs in Heroic to troubleshoot.
Consider tweaking Wine settings or applying community-provided patches for specific issues with Marvel Rivals.

no, and my mac is too old to even use GPTK so I can't test anything for this game
the only chance to play it for free is to wait for a future update of GPTK and see if it got fixed, otherwise you'll be wasting your time

if the game runs on crossover 24 then maybe by the time crossover 25 is out then thereāll be a free workaround
