marvel rivals is not working
Steps I've taken so far:
Ensured that Steam is running.
Tried using Proton 8.0, proton 9.0, proton 7.0, proton hotfix, proton experimental etc... ; no change.
Checked environment variables and Proton logs, but no significant insights.
Disabled GameMode and esync, which didn’t solve the issue.
System Information:
OS: Arch Linux 6.12.1-arch1-1 (Linux)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (using nvidia driver)
CPU: Intel i7-8700K
Heroic Version: 2.15.2 Emeth
Wine Version: Proton 8.0 (Proton 8.0 as the Wine prefix)

Try Proton GE
You can download it within Heroic
Via Wine Manager

Then provide a log
Yep
PROTON_LOG=1 as env variable
Then run the game

i wasnt able to find it within my home directory using that variable but heres the log
i changed many of the default settings like battleyeruntime and eacruntime just to see if it could potentially fix it but nothing worked

It would be called heroic-0 log iirc
It should create one

just cant see cut scenes but i dont really care tbh

Hey! I am really new to heroic and trying to run Marvel rivals on Mac. How do I go about doing this and switching to GE-proton?
I was trying to understand this conversation but im having a hard time and would need it simplified

proton-ge is a linux thing, not mac
I don't think this game works on mac, all threads about marvel rivals on mac ended up unresolved I think
and I think that even for linux, the epic version of the game also won't work, only the steam version
