How does one behave when a mofo app doesn't start because it claims a redist ain't there even if it's actually in there? (running the redis setup in the same prefix shows repair/uninstall as only opts) OSX, latest stable HGL build

So you've not posted logs what game even is this for? Can you give any info about your system etc (or just post logs and it will have all that info) Also by "how does one behave" do you mean how do you fix this issue?

That's bakkersmod started via bat in the same bottle as Rocket League So I don't really think logs would do anything, but can post Machine's an MBP 2024, m4 ultra https://0x0.st/XhaP.log

The mod complains about a missing dependency ► Go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 ► Click on the big Download button. ► Choose and download both, vc_redist_x64.exe and vc_redist_x86.exe. ► Install both of them. ► If you cannot install either of them, uninstall all "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable"s you have currently installed, reboot your PC and then install the ones we told you download above. ► Reboot your PC again. ► If BakkesMod still gives you the error that you're missing this, reinstall BM by closing RL and then clicking "File -> Reinstall".

yeah, I've tried thru winetricks too, but, it brings up the "repair/uninstall" redist dialog nope

I dont realy know much about mac's situation and I dont have a mac. Just know these things probably work fine in linux x_x Tried a different wine like crossover or whiskey?

It essentially resets the environment. You may have to reinstall the mod tho But the game itself is installed separately

Suspicious? It shouldnt delete the game what folder did you delete /Users/dil3mm4/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Rocket League should have been the folder Your game is in /Users/dil3mm4/Games/Heroic/rocketleague

right but import ain't working somehow, like it imports but the game now refuses to boot Ok Reinstalled everything so it is a clean sheet ok, now it fails redist install with [00F0:0108][2024-12-09T02:40:35]e000: Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed.

Import?? If you delete the prefix it doesnt remove the game from heroic, heroic will just create a new prefix

make sure you have the wine dependencies installed if you are using a non-flatpak version of heroic https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1044301598018515105 another user had an issue installing the vc runtime the other day and it got fixed with that

This is your only warning to not use the language from your original title again I would try again but this time use Winetricks to install vcrun2022 to have the most recent version. The earlier MS link goes to just 2015
