Uploading from Android doesn't upload entire albums
Hey everyone, I've come here from GitHub issues to hopefully get some help with a problem I'm having.
I've installed Immich on my own server for the second time now (the first time, my server died on me, which was version 1.80 or so, this matters). I'm having problems when selecting albums to upload from Android. This works as I am used to from previous versions. However, the amount of files that are actually being uploaded is much smaller than the contents of the albums I selected. My observations are In some cases, this is quite drastic, uploading only 12 out of 337. I've tested a few things and I found that
- When selecting the system album, Immich tells me there's 337 files there (which is correct).
- When uploading, the remainder is only 12.
- I've tried removing the album and adding it again, but this reduces the backup and total with 12 each.
- All 337 photos are visible in the photos tab, but the non 12 group is marked as not-synced.
- I can manually upload them, but this does not add them to the synced album, so this is not a great solution.
I'm on immich 1.122.2 (phone and server). Does anyone have an idea about what to do? Both .env and docker-compose.yml are the same as the installation guide, with immich-machine-learning commented out.

Successfully submitted, a tag has been added to inform contributors. :white_check_mark:if you had to reinstall immich, it semes likely that the app "remembered" that they were already backed up
there shold be an option in settings to reset this memory
That was indeed it! Strange that this isnt mentioned on the backup screen, ive had my mind boggled for a few days now
Thanks!
Actually, there's still shenanigans going on. One of my most recent albums isn't uploading any images. Moreover, I can see all images go by as it attempts to upload them and uploading halts after the last one finishes (the "begin backup" button remains at "cancel"). Strangely, none of the images are marked as duplicates in the advances settings. Any ideas?
FYI, I reinstalled immich and cleared data and cache as another attempt, this didn't change anything apart from having to log in again

Theres nothing mentioned in the docker compose logs either
How are you connecting to the immich server? What URL
through my own domain. Now that you mention it, I've tried connecting to my local IP, which strangely does work. I've routed traffic over NGINX as recommended, but clearly there's something blocking file transfer. I'll have another look. Thanks again!
Found the issue, I entered the max request body size too low in nginx, so my more modern photos all exceeded the file size limit. Thanks for all the help!
