My God of War 2018 save file got deleted.
Some time ago, I started gaming on Linux, and I'm loving it—especially now that I'm playing on a distro that lets me use Steam Deck mode.
The thing is, I had a save where I had completed all the missions, the rifts, and even had the Valkyrie armor fully upgraded to 100%. But I had to uninstall the game for unrelated reasons. I was replaying the game in New Game+ mode and was working on getting the Valkyrie+ armor when this issue happened.
After reinstalling the game, that save file was gone. I tried syncing, but it didn’t work, and everything I had done was lost.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Do you have a similar save? If so, could you share it with me so I can at least get back what I had?

If you didn't use a cloud save feature then everything may be lost
if you also removed the wine prefix when uninstalling the game

heroic doesnt cloud save by default, you have to enable it on games that support it

I did that and synced it before uninstalling to avoid losing my save file, but when I reinstalled the game, my save was gone.

Then post logs, maybe the saves arent in the right place. Did you confirm the saves were transferred to the cloud?

Yes, I confirmed that I synced with the cloud. I got a “Successfully uploaded” message before uninstalling it.

Im pretty sure you would see that message even if nothing was uploaded but there were no errors x_x
Basically im worried the game wasnt pointed at the right save location and so didnt transfer any files
