In general it is prohibited to exchange anything to gain an advantage in the game.
The game tolerates this behavior so far as long as you don't use exploits or cheats that would disturb other players.
For examples, look at the top leaderboard players who are all breaking the TOS by sharing accounts or cheating in some other way.
