Graphics - Topic of the day 12/23/24
There are so many graphic tees, sweatshirts, hoodies and other items it makes it hard to choose! What makes a good graphic? What are some of your favorite graphics? Why would someone choose an Undercover graphic tee over a Marine Layer graphic tee if it’s 3x the price?

i had a big “i don’t buy clothing with graphics/logos/etc” phase for a few years thats come to an end in the past year or so. i think theyre helpful for adding detail to simple cuts and especially useful in big/wide silhouettes; they provide enough noise to anchor for ur eyes and break up shape a bit
my most worn graphic tees are a concert tee i got from one of my favorite artists and an affliction long sleeve, prob just because they match the aesthetic/themes of how i dress

The best graphic tees are metal band shirts that just have gore on them
i’ve just learned to be picky about some of them (ie, i got rid of all my old pokémon shirts that had the logos on them because it detracted from the art and also tend to avoid the cheap hot topic clip art shirts)

but i love the vibe you get from a solid jacket and a graphic tee

Rob Schrab, on top of his day job, designs a bunch of fake movie vhs covers and puts them on t-shirts. It's where I got my WizardVigilante shirt. He doesn't sell the ballerina overdrive one anymore because it's actually getting made. I think they're really neat.

probably my favorites are the vintage tees from kacy world colors - bright, bold, high impact, and clearly meaningful

i like graphic tees that stand alone even if you do not get the reference, for instance, Mort Garson's cult classic album "Plantasia" shirt.
