Cyberpunk 2077 2.2(1) with RedMod enabled exits a second after launching and before GOG Launcher.

I posted an update to the GitHub issue someone else posted. Basically you can install an enable RedMod and it won't start the game. Disabled starts just fine. https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/issues/4176 I'm on the Flatpak version running in Bazzite which is basically Fedora SteamOS.

Tried a few more combinations of the things I mentioned in the github post to no avail. Anyone else able to help spitball as to the cause? Booted to windows and had gog galaxy install 2.2. It boots fine with redmod there. Copied the files to my Linux folder and no dice so I guess we can rule out a download/reverify issue. Confirmed on Steam Deck as well. Lutris appears to work with RedMod enabled, comes up with the initiating mods screen.

Yeah I'll give it a shot. Currently have lutris installed on my Bazzite install. I'll try and transfer the Heroic folders from my Steam Deck or do it direct from there if I can find my usb-c hub

Yeah, they're not running flatpak though I just noticed that earlier when I went through their logs agin.

Yeah. So redmod allows types of mods to install. Its the official format. Without it enabled some mods won't function. Most managers require the game to start with redmod at least once.

yeah that much i know thankfully ok try this https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/pull/4229 idk if it will work because of how u said it needs to launch with redmod enabled i mean it still might but this just avoids gogdl from crashing by picking the wrong preferred task

u can check that u are running the correct one by going to the advanced tab in the game settings and checking if disable UMU runtime checkbox is there

no we just changed where the setting is since 2.15.2 (and also enabled umu by default) so if the setting moved you are on the correct version

you might have to run it using terminal so that it picks the correct one or you can uninstall the main one and reinstall it later

Yeah that's what I did. right before your message. Looks like it's right now. Going to try moving the Heroic installed folders from my Steam Deck to my Desktop so I don't have to wait 4 hours to test. @OOOOOF123 Just got them moved over both the game files and prefix folder no dice yet. Going to try a verify and try again. If that doesn't work I'll post logs. @OOOOOF123 Didn't help.

I feel like we should remove the Redmod integration all together just use the toggle on red launcher that should also bootstrap the mods so turn off mods here and enable them in launcher

I'll try that now I have some manually installed to see if it'll work. Previously the initializing mods pop up did not show when I did that, but it did in lutris when empty. Looks like it does.
