disable DXVK-NVAPI, that's for Nvidia GPUs and you have AMD
enable VKD3D, you want that in general
disable Mangohud, once the game works you can try enabling it
then:
Install Wine Dependencies by following this guide
If this does not immediately resolve your issue, you might also have to delete your Wineprefix (by default it's in
~/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/<game name>
)
Alternatively, you can use the Flatpak version of Heroic: https://flathub.org/apps/com.heroicgameslauncher.hglrival-black•6mo ago
once you have the wine dependencies installed, install wine-ge or proton-ge using heroic's Wine Manager section and use that instead of the system wine

Thank you! Changed them settings, removed the prefix, so HL can create fresh one and only made it here: https://0x0.st/8sow.log

you say the game was working a day ago, did anything change in your system between that and the game not working?
the logs don't show anything wrong, and the settings like correct

new kernel... standar debian testing update... I guess
any way I can enable extensive debug logs?
rival-black•6mo ago
you can configure the WINEDEBUG env variable in the game's setting to add more debug details https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/wikis/Debug-Channels
I don't know what's the best though, if you add too much detail it can create other problems with too much resources being used for that

Are you using the deb from the GitHub or from your package manager (apt)?
literary-plumOP•6mo ago
I don't think heroic is in a package manager for debian - got the .deb from the download page or instructions
right, moved out what current setup is and started fresh install - that worked yesterday
then will compare and enable wine debug...
will let you know what I find 🙂

It’s in either a Debian or Ubuntu one which isn’t maintained by the devs, so that’s why I ask. I got no ideas otherwise right now

do you think I should grab the one from github?
Thought this was only for ubuntu?
rare-sapphire•6mo ago
If you got it from the HGL site, you should be fine
Are you able to roll back your kernel, or would that break too many things?
literary-plumOP•6mo ago
yeh, followed the install links on the web site
well, I can start 6.12.5 (the previous one) but there were few more things updated
I'll see what I can find
it's Debian Testing in the end 🙂
it's a let down every now and then... not as massive as SID is, but
Oh the .deb IS from github - if you go to non flatpack or appimage version it does send you to github release page to grab your version
