C++ needed to run Return To Moria
I've installed via winetricks but still getting same error

maybe some part of the winetricks process failed, try installing the .exe from microsoft
download both x64 and x86 .exe files from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170, then use the

have you checkd if you have all wine dependencies?
Install Wine Dependencies by following this guide
If this does not immediately resolve your issue, you might also have to delete your Wineprefix (by default it's in
~/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/<game name>)

if anything gets installed by that, you may want to try clearing the prefix by deleting this folder
/home/mdrobb/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/The Lord of The Rings Return to Moria, then heroic will create a new prefix with the wine-dependencies in placexenial-blackOP•6mo ago

hmmmm not sure what to do with that
you could try using wine-ge-latest instead of proton-ge-latest (delete the prefix again after changing that so it creates a new prefix with wine instead of proton)
or you could try enabling UMU in settings > advances > experimental features and keep proton-ge-latest (you'll have to delete the prefix too if you do this)

deleting the prefix means deleting this folder
/home/mdrobb/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/The Lord of The Rings Return to Moria but if it's working with the previous prefix it should be finexenial-blackOP•6mo ago
