Tokyo Clanpool video Issues
apparently when running the game NOT on a steam Deck (both PC with Kubuntu 24.04 and a Laptop with latest Manjaro) the game will stop playing the video at about the end, and of you click (which normally skips a video) it will straight up freeze completely at which point you need to kill it from the outside.
Logs: https://0x0.st/8stV.log
It can be traced to the video files (webm) or some interaction between their playing environment, as the game happily skips them and seems to run (at least up to the title screen, havent really tested anymore) if you remove the video files e.g. by renaming

are you using the same configuration in both the PCs and the steamdeck?
ideally, if you want to use proton, you should use proton-ge-latest (installed with heroic) which has more updates than proton from steam to be used outside steam
and you also want to enable the experimental UMU launcher in settings (in the sidebar) > advanced > experimental features
proton from steam is meant to be used in steam
you probably want to delete this folder
/home/my1/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Tokyo Clanpool
after you change the proton version just in case, so make sure to backup any save if you have torival-blackOP•6mo ago
I ran all with steam's Proton 9 and tried to get the configs as close as possible, but also tried some other things I installed with protonup, and matching the configs as much as I was able to, heck I even went the extra mile and tried running on my laptop with crossover (which I got myself last black friday) and system wine, although likely they might need some packages
whats the umu launcher btw?

it's a unified wrapper to run games using proton and apply known fixes, similar to protonfixes but for other stores too, not just steam https://github.com/Open-Wine-Components/umu-launcher

one thing to note though, is that in the current release of heroic, enabling UMU enables it globally for all games using proton, and I've seen some cases where UMU actually makes a game fail, so be careful with that (that's the reason is experimental)
next release of heroic will have a setting per game to enable/disable it to not break games running without UMU
I'm suggesting it just to try to see if it works in that game but you might want to disable it for other games if you have others running with proton already

this is iirc the first game I run with heroic outside of my deck
Solution
screw my life, a reboot of all things helped
like it was working now on my laptop but not my PC which left me UTTERLY confused
especially as even the copy in crossover which has NOTHING to do with heroic started working too
thanks for the help tho
