While Heroic supports the Linux operating system, the "Linux development environment" included in ChromeOS is not supported.
The Linux environment runs inside a virtual machine without GPU acceleration, which is a critical feature to run any games at all. Heroic itself will run, but games won't.

I just found out today that ChromeOS does not work for Heroic Game Launcher... big rip for both of us
