How to run game with help Steam?
Hello there!
I downloaded the game "KILL KNIGHT" and added it to Steam (I clicked Tools -> Add to Steam). Then I reloaded Steam chosen this game and clicked start, but the game didn't work. However, if run across Heroic Games Launcher. This game worked!

PS I use Ubuntu 22.4 and try to connect DualShock 4

I see, that's the issue, I think I've seen a report that the AppImage is not capable of registering itself in the system so the shortcuts (including adding to steam) doesn't work
You'll have to use either the .deb (since you are on Ubuntu) or the flatpak version (but you'll have to re-login and re-configure the app, import games, etc)
until someone figures out how to fix the app image

btw how delete Heroic that was installed via AppImage?

just delete the app image file, app images are not really installed (that's why the shortcuts doesn't work I understand)
it runs in the
temp directory so the files created by the appimage are automatically delete (except from your config, that we'll still be available using the .deb installer)optimistic-goldOP•5mo ago

I started with Heroic and without it. I added shortcut. I added compatibility in Steam, also the game doesn't work :(

are desktop shortcuts working with the flatpak? because I think might confirm the issue is steam snap package if they work outside steam
to be clear, you NEVER want to add compatibility layer in steam for games added with heroic, never ever, heroic takes care of that

Heroic doesnt handle inputs or gamepads at all, generally its between wine, your drivers, and the game as to whether the gamepad works
generally you will have problem free experience with properly built xinput based gamepads like the x360 controller
