Getting MAME to display on 2nd (vertical) monitor

I'm trying to get MAME to display vertical games on my non primary monitor, running 
flatpak run org.mamedev.mame -v
identified it as Display #1 
Current Videodriver: wayland
    Display #0
        Desktop Mode:         3840x2160-24@60
        Current Display Mode: 3840x2160-24@60
        Renderdrivers:
                opengl (0x0)
             opengles2 (0x0)
              software (0x0)
    Display #1
        Desktop Mode:         2160x3840-24@60
        Current Display Mode: 2160x3840-24@60
        Renderdrivers:
                opengl (0x0)
             opengles2 (0x0)
              software (0x0)


I added this line to my vertical.ini (in /home/pcarcade/.mame/) : 
screen                    \\.\DISPLAY1
as per instructions here : https://www.reddit.com/r/MAME/comments/fnqpmh/how_to_get_mame_to_run_horizontal_games_on/

But it will not output to the 2nds monitor, has anyone got simillar to work in Bazzite?
