neverwinter: Unable to start game client: client quit unexpectedly
Hi all,
I am totally new to Heroic. I'm playing to Epic Games through the Heroic Games Launcher under macOS (Sequoia 15.2) on a M4Pro platform (12CPU/16 GPU).
When I try to launch the game (after it patched successfully) I get the following error: "Unable to start game client: client quit unexpectedly".
I have tried only another game (Rise of the Tomb Raider" and it works ok.
I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong, your help is welcome 🙂

quick answer, try a different tool to launch it (install Whisky and change in settings to use that for the game)
hopefully someone more knowledgable will be able to help while you try this.

I installed Whisky but cannot download a windows version of the epic game launcher for now... it offers me only the macOS version I cannot access a respository or such.

you can use whisky with heroic, no need to install the epic launcher using whisky

oh nevermind, I misunderstood your message, I see you are using it with heroic already
I tried the game a few weeks ago and for me the game starts but then it complains that it can't connect to the game servers to update the game, so nothing to do after that
I was using wine-crossover-later for that, and same behavior using the paid version of crossover

Ok I installed Whisky and set Heroic. But I get the same error when trying to play Neverwinter using Whisky x Heroic.
Thanks for the support so far. I hope somebody might jump in and help to solve 🙂
