how do you own this?

GOG, bought in steam to test too, has same performance
other-emeraldβ’5mo ago
are you logged in on gog through heroic's account manager?
because you have the game installed within the prefix, and that's gonna cause problems
also, don't use regular wine for gaming
Wine-GE is rather old now (last release is almost a year ago) and thus might not work correctly. Please follow these instructions on using GE-Proton with umu instead:
1. Head to the Wine Manager in Heroic, click the "Proton-GE" tab, and install "Proton-GE-Latest"
2. Enable umu in "Settings" (Heroic sidebar) -> "Advanced" -> "Use UMU as Proton runtime"
Note: For a visual guide, see attached image
3. Head to the settings for your game(s) (icon on game card in library). In the "Wine Version" dropdown, select "Proton - Proton-GE-latest"

Steam with latest Proton has same performance, it's not that
And it's not WIne-GE

good luck, then.

Probably is an issue with your power profile
provincial-silverβ’5mo ago
that could be it as well

With High Crowd Density it's slightly CPU limited in Windows too, but not that much

If it's so common to recommend that people switch Wines/Protons, why not make the best one the default? Losing saves when switching and wasting time searching isn't something gamers find enjoyable, I believe.
Shared save folder and the same prefix system as Steam, itβs already done. Why reinvent the wheel?
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
Fixed by using umu
Proton-ge by default will be in heroic 2.16
Same for this
automatic-azureOPβ’5mo ago
How do I transfer my wine saves then?
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
Copy the folder
Or if you use umu it will work automatically
automatic-azureOPβ’5mo ago
I checked umu and there's no saves
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
Did u run it with proton before enabling umu
automatic-azureOPβ’5mo ago
Maybe, dunno
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
That causes issue
automatic-azureOPβ’5mo ago
I have save files, where I have to put them?
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
just leave them where they are
instead delete the pfx subfolder in your prefix
assuming you want the saves that were created by wine and not created by proton
automatic-azureOPβ’5mo ago
Yep, worked, dunno why it's so complicated
adverse-sapphireβ’5mo ago
once umu is default it won't be as complicated
but heroic 2.15 released before umu 1.0 released
so we had no option
and we still are finding bugs even now with it lol
