Software is constantly being updated and the only thing you really could upgrade is the motors which they are plenty powerful enough for me.

I've never tried my rhino without the 20 cm extension, due to my mounting setup. With the extension, it's plenty powerful for me.

Rhino and Brunner Pedals would work as standalone devices, DCS doesn't support trimming pedals yet natively, so you'd have to rely on brunner software for pedal trimming.
