Saved games don't download properly when trying to switch to new wine version
I am trying to switch off Proton and to wine directly but my cloud syncs aren't proper. When I select sync it says there is a save present and says skipping then hangs.

why are you trying to move off Proton? now that umu is stable, ge-proton + umu is the recommended in general
if it's because of the note in the
wine manager section of heroic, that's outdated cause latest release was done while umu was still experimental, next release will recommend protongenetic-orangeOP•5mo ago
I heard it had better performance and wanted to test, not a big deal though if it doesn't work

it probably won't have any impact on performance, proton is wine with more fixes

I mean, it could happen that in really specific cases one particular game maybe performs better with one or the other, but it's not a general thing

if you want more performance, the best way has always been to upgrade your hardware.. everything else is splitting hairs.
