Discord freezes when I play Steam games

So far this happens with Stellaris and with Raft. If I launch the game and then pause and tab out, Discord is frozen. The audio works fine, I can voice chat and stream. But the UI is frozen. New messages don't appear and it won't respond to the mouse. If I close and restart Discord while a game is running, it gets stuck on loading.
