How to move Fortnite between drives and have it be recognized by EGS too?
So I'm using both EGS and Heroic and I have Heroic set up to recognize the EGS installation of Fortnite. However, it's installed on C and filling up fast.
I would like to move Fortnite from C to D rather than uninstall and reinstall it (Damn you EGS for not having a Move function like Steam) and I know Heroic can move files. However, last time I attempted this, I had to delete everything anyway since EGS would redownload the whole game anyway.
Is there a better way to move files such that EGS will also register it as being there and not try to download on top of it, or is uninstalling and reinstalling on EGS my best bet still?

Heroic also have a button to
Change install path
to tell heroic where a game was moved
another thing you could do is:
- move the game
- heroic will say it's not available
- try to run it, it will ask you if you want to remove it from the installed games
- then click the install button
- instead of installing the game, click the Import Game
button and pick the new installation folderother-emeraldOP•4mo ago
That resolves not being able to open it on Heroic, though i thought i was gonna use the Move Game button here

my concern is getting it to work again on Epic Games Launcher after moving it.

on thing I guess you could try is:
- disable the EGS sync in the settings
- move the game with heroic
- make sure epic thinks the game is not installed
- then enable the EGS sync again and heroic should tell Epic where the game is installed

ok wtf just moving it with Heroic actually worked perfectly
closed EGL before doing the move
did the move, ran the game in Heroic then closed it
then opened EGL and on Manage/Install Folder it instantly saw that the install folder was in D instead of C, and it's running now.
Nevermind then, I think my big mistake back then was running Heroic’s move while EGL was still open.
