Cant get controller to be recognized by gog yakuza 4/5
Can anyone help? I was able to use controller in yakuza 3 but cannot get 4 or 5 to recognize steamdeck as a controller, only m+k works. I had to switch to proton-ge to get them to run, so maybe there's something extra to get GE to recognize controllers?

are you running the games through Heroic directly, or are you using a shortcut added to Steam?

still no controller and now i cant use steam overlay and had to hard shut down. what is umu exactly?

it's the runtime to ensure that GE-Proton runs correctly outside of Steam

launcing through steam heroic launcher i kept the overlay and could quit normally, but the game direct seemed to break it

did you do any modifications to the Steam shortcut?
change launch options, change Proton version?
change target .exe?

no nothing
so i just went ahead and got the steam version and it runs fine. i did notice the startup credits are different so maybe different builds of the game
i know gog often has outdated versions so maybe thats whats going on
QLOC, whatever that is
