Cannot use a custom version of Wine

I have installed Wine through brew with command
brew install --cask --no-quarantine wine-stable
brew install --cask --no-quarantine wine-stable
but Heroic doesn't detect it.
bash $ wine --version
bash $ wine --version
produces the expected output of 10.0, and the issue persists when manually linking to both the Wine binary in Heroic settings and in the config file. I have also looked through the source code to see if I can figure out why the custom path isn't working, but it all looks in order.

Additionally, after further testing, this issue ONLY occurs with WINE 10.0, and not earlier prepackaged binaries from Gcenx. I have yet to test self compiled binaries from older versions, but both the self compiled and prepackaged binaries for WINE 10.0 do not work
