Why storage is so expensive?
Hey, I am curious - why storage is so expensive?
$1.75 / GB / mo is extremely expensive on the Launch plan. I switched to the Scale plan, and yet it's still $1.5 / GB / mo.
Am I supposed to switch to the Business plan?

I obviously can do optimizations on how we store data; but just comparing it to other vendors, there is a huge price difference.

Hey @0xRaduan ! Thanks for asking about this. The short answer—and I hope the one you want to read—is we're actively working on this. I hope to share news that we've adjusted our storage prices in the coming months. There's a longer answer that Neon's storage engine is hugely different to other providers (notably branching, time travel and how we calculate your storage) and it's on us to make it easier to compare if you're not using such features.
