The sound volume of games in Heroic is much lower than the system output or what I get on Steam
Hi, I started to use Heroic recently to play Cyberpunk 2077 and I noticed that the sound volume of the game is much lower than the general channel output and what I get in Steam games. I thought it was due to Cyberpunk, but now I have the same issue with another game now (Pathfinder Kingmaker). I can't seem to find any settings about sound, is there any?
I am on Linux (Nobara, a Fedora derivative) and using the Flatpak Heroic application.

are you sure you dont have some system volume control that's set low for particular apps or something? heroic doesnt really have any audio options itself, and i've not heard of folks having problems like that before

well, I thought about that but Heroic doesn't appear in the list of applications I can control the volume. I am on KDE Plasma 6.2

it wouldnt be heroic as heroic doesnt really play sounds from your game
you'd have to look at your games while they're running

oh I see. The game is actually running in the background when I took this screenshot, but I don't see it in the KDE controls. I tried to poke in the pulseaudio settings but couldn't find anything there

is it muted when minimized?
if its not actively playing sounds it doesnt show up

dammit, yes it is muted in the background 🤦♂️ can't seem to find a way to unmute it thouhg

just play it windowed

hmm, it was borderless window already, but switching to windowed didn't help...
so I installed Amnesia: a machine for pigs to check this out and that game has the volume working perfectly (it is fullscreen). Even muted in the background I can see the volume and it is 100% as expected
