Difference bewteen upload and library folder
Hello 🤙 , I've seen similar questions here but I don't see the answer I'm looking for, sorry if the answer has already been said.
I just saw that in my upload folder I see an upload folder and a livrary folder with both my image and video files.
I'm under the impression that library stores user folders and albums, but for images outside albums, where does that go? And what about the upload folder?

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

Successfully submitted, a tag has been added to inform contributors. :white_check_mark:There is the main upload folder. Then under that is upload, library, thumbs, encoded video, and profile.
thumbs, encoded video, and profile, store immich generated assets.
It depends on if you have storage template enabled or disabled. If it's disabled, upload will contain all uploaded assets.
If you enable the storage template uploaded assets will be stored in the library folder under whatever template scheme you design.

So technically, if I have the storage template, even if I don't make an album, everything will be in the library folder and the uplaod child folder will be useless.
I think I didn't activate the storage template at the start, so I've only got images that have stayed in the useless upload folder, right?
By the way, I've just looked at my child upload folder, which contains cut image files or looks like they're only half-loaded, strangely enough.
It's not useless, when you enable the storage template that assets still need to go to the upload folder first before they are moved. Their data needs to be extracted there so they can be moved according to the template

It's probably uploads that got cut off
