USB lead has enough juice to power the board so its like any other joystick, the electric power is for the motors. So for a total reboot after a firmware upgrade you will need to kill power and disconnect the USB.
If you are in game. Let’s say the 58 or oh6. You push stick all the way to the left or right. The physical stick will touch the limiter of the rhino way before the in game stick. Confirmed with controls indicator. However if you hold the trim release or use beep trim the physical stick matches the ingame stick and both go the full deflection.
When you are in configurator, does the blue dot show that it goes to the edge of the box in the input viewer? If not, then that is what is happening most likely.
Position is sensed off the rotation of the motor, not the rotation or position of the stick. Imagine if you had 0 spring (trim released) and put the motor to the left stop and then slowly turned up spring while holding the physical stick against the left stop. Any flex in the system will allow the motor to spin back toward center, but the physical stick stays on the stop. Since the motor is back toward center it tells the game that the virtual stick is back toward center though your physical stick is at the stop.
The blue dot does not make it to the edge when just pushing the stick under force. It only goes to the edge when holding trim release and all the forces are null or beep trim is used.
anyone around here use the VKB gunfighter MCE with their rhino? im rebuilding my pit and I have my MCE on a 200mm extension and Im finding out it has a LOOOOOOT of throw on it and Im wondering if the 100mm extension (or any extension at that) would be better
experiencing keas of my Virpil constellation axes (thumb, grip twist and brake axis within the grip) since the update of the beta 3 of frimware...cross checked the grip plpgging it though the virpil base...no harware issue.
Hi everyone. Brand new VPForce user here. Installed my Rhino today along with TelemFFB. Everything appears to be working (at least at a basic level), but my Simhaptic appears to have stopped working. It is showing telemetry signals, but no effects are being output to my butthaker or Ushake pad. I presume it has something to do with a LUA entry, but I'm not savvy enough to figure it out.
I have a Winwing F16 grip, I understand the wiring orientation is different to Thrustmaster standard (which is not an issue for me) is the Winwing grip compatible with the Rhino FFB base?
hello everyone, since yesterday i have following problem with my rhino: as soon as i push my stick to the left or right the motor disconnects. if i reduce the gain controller to about 60% it won't disconnect. But before it was ok also with 100% master gain. with less than 100% the force is too soft. any solution?
ok, after factory reset the problem was still present. after disabling inertia and friction the problem is gone. enabling either one or both the motor disconnects. so i will stay with both functions off.
I was flying in DCS when the motors on my Rhino cut out, and position information on the stick was not being passed to the game anymore. I tried to reset the motors under the Configurator debug tab, but there is some rapid beeping accompanied by the attached communication timeout indication. All the buttons on the stick still work.
