Layering process for Bazzite?

Can the layering process outlined for Fedora CoreOS be done in bazzite after installation?

I created the ignition file from the provided example via butane with:

butane --pretty --strict vim-default.bu > vim-default.ignbutane --pretty --strict vim-default.bu > vim-default.ign

What do I do with the resultant ignition file to run/overlay it on next boot?
