Fixed windowed mode (F4) in all versions through the use of DDrawCompat
So this is what ruined it with latest update?
And can't it be patched more flawlessly without replacing or overwriting stuff?

I don't know, that solution was shared in the GOG forums, I just added it to our wiki for easier linking
I don't even play this game
from what I understand, the xdd.dll file included with the game files is not compatible with wine's dll
