Prevent snow from taking up the whole block?

Is there a way to prevent snow in LODs from taking up the whole block? It really changes the qualitative nature of mountain ranges/hills especially. Running the latest nightly build of 2.3.0.

DH is incapable of rendering anything smaller than a 1x1x1 meter cube, so it's either this or no snow

You can add snow to ignored blocks if you want

Then you can disable tint with avoided blocks for it to not affect stone under it
