I have a WordPress multisite configured with WP Ultimo. My primary domain is hosted on Cloudflare with a wildcard * subdomain setup. I also configured an SSL wildcard certificate using Cloudflare’s Origin Server.
The issue arises when I try to map a custom domain (e.g., client.com) to a subsite (e.g., client.primarydomain.com). Since my shared hosting does not allow addon domains in cPanel, I used Custom Hostnames in Cloudflare. I added my main domain as the Fallback Origin and the client’s domain under Custom Domains. Everything appears to be correctly set up on Cloudflare (SSL is active, and it's showing as mapped via CNAME).
However, when accessing the custom domain (client.com), I get a 404 error, and I can't figure out why. WP Ultimo handled the mapping, but it still doesn’t work.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any help would be greatly appreciated
