Home theater PC - Internet keeps disconnecting/limited connectivity; need to reconnect
Hello
Switched from Holoiso to Bazzite yesterday on my desktop (AMD).
I’m noticing every once in awhile (5-15 minutes), the internet stops working. Steam shows that “Steam Deck can’t reach the internet”, desktop mode shows “limited connectivity”.
I can resolve this temporarily by disconnecting the wi-fi, wait a few seconds, then reenabling wi-fi.
I have to keep doing this every so often and it’s impossible to play a game smoothly because of this.
I had this issue with HoloISO a few years ago, forgot what the fix could be.

Things I’ve tried…
- Enabled Steam Deck developer mode and disabled “WiFi Power Management”.
- Went to Desktop mode, disabled IPV6 in WiFi settings.
- Changed IPV4 DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) and also tried 8.8.8.8 (Google).
Solution
https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/issues_and_resolutions/ this is the recommendation that worked for me when my wifi was slow
Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices.
