World War Z and Overcooked 2 wont launch on steam deck through heroic (possibly other games too)
I've tried launching these two games on steam deck but I haven't tried any others yet. When I try to launch them it just says 'launching' for ages until eventually a black screen comes up with something like this at the top left hand corner of the screen '--', I'll show it in the attached image. I've tried all the latest proton GE versions and proton experimental and none have worked. I've added the games to steam through heroic games launcher and tried launching with proton from steam itself with no luck. I've also tried manually adding the game to steam, but I couldn't find the exe file anywhere. Please help.
Edit: after waiting through about 10 minutes of this black screen, the game finally opens, but it doesn't recognise my steam decks gamepad and only recognises it as a computer. The FPS is also very low, 10fps and even less sometimes.
Also, if I do find a fix, what proton or wine version is best in this game?
