How to manually download a save game from cloud?
Is it possible to manually download save games from Heroic's cloud storage? The mechanism applied in the app states, that my previous save (uploaded before I reinstalled my CachyOS system) is being properly downloaded, but I can't find it the proper folder for the game "Control" ($HOME/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Control/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Remedy/Control/Default-Epic-User) and it isn't present in-game.

to clarify, heroic doesn't provide cloud storage, it's either epic's or gog's
you can manually download the saves in the game's settings in heroic > cloud saves > there it gives you options
you still need to tell heroic where to put the saves though

I know I can manually force the download of saves, but it doesn't work. I would prefer to do this by a web browser.

I don't think you can do it via a browser because it needs to handle all the authentication process that epic would do
you could try using legendary directly instead of heroic if you want more control (not pun intended) https://github.com/derrod/legendary (heroic uses legendary in the background)
it's not clear to me what's the problem though: are the saves not being downloaded? or you don't know where the files should be put?

this works for me .. do you not have any files in that folder?
(not using proton so my path is a bit different)

My path to the save game folder is correct, and this is what I see while forcing the download process It does nothing though.
