XCOM Enemy Unknown + Enemy Within Complete Pack
Hello,
I bought the XCOM Enemy Unknown Complete Pack with Enemy Within on GOG. This is a Windows based game according to the store.
After a recent update of the Heroic Launcher, my game XCOM Enemy Within runs extremely poorly. The Wine-GE-Proton version I was using didn't change, nor did I change any settings since the last time it was working fine.
Now I get extremely low framerates in the 0.5-2 FPS.
I have an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor with 32 GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. I think my specs are fine.
I have the nvidia-driver-550 drive which was also updated recently and the nvidia-550 flatpaks (org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia-550-120 , etc)
I am using the Flatpak version of the Heroic launcher v2.16.0 "Scopper Gaban".

Yes, but just yesterday there were new kernel and NVidia driver updates. I will try again this evening to see if anything was fixed.
I know there's a Native Linux version of this game that's available on other platforms. It's a shame that GOG doesn't have it.

Did you managa to solve it? After the heroic update (2.16.0) i am getting extremely low framerates on all my games

Nope. Still no luck. I removed the game entirely and re-installed and the result is the same. Even at the lowest resolution the game is unplayable.

OK, but before I do, is there anything you recommend I hide from my logs that could contain any sensitive info?

I don't know what the heck happened.
I just reinstalled the game. Lanched it. It was performing at 3fps. Forgot to enable verbose logs, so I stopped the game and set verbose logs to true (checked the box in the settings), then re-ran the game and now it runs at 60fps.
Then changed it back to false and it still runs at 60fps.
