Installer not running.
I run the installer and a black terminal looking screen pops up but then nothing more no installer opens. And nothing is installed into the created directory.
I'm on steam deck if that makes a difference.

what is that game? the installer is trying to copy a file in the place of the same file, seems like a bug of that installer

I guess you can try, I don't have experience with that, I just can't imagine the streaming through wine being better
about the error, I don't know how you added discord, maybe go back some steps and share how you actually added it

Well if it works it's better than nothing currently audio doesn't steam and only non steam games actually display video
So the way I installed it was download the discordsetup.exe, set executable to that, then run when I click play normally this runs the installer and once installed I change the executable to the application exe that launches the gam but it doesn't actually install so.

the normal way is:
- click Add Game
- set title to Discord (so it gets the image, etc)
- then click
Run Installer First
- after the installation ends, click the select exe and look for the discord exe

Yh the run installer first hasnt work for me
I had to do my method for another game that I got working by doing it
Trying now with another game and when I hit run installer first and select the exe nothing happens
And I can't click finish until I put an executable in which I don't have the proper one yet as nothing has installed
It makes the directory (prefixes folder) but doesn't actually put anything I there
And just put the set up exe in executable and the installer works fine but not for discord

it wouldn't be a surprise to you if they decided to nuke your account for using an alternative client
it makes poor business sense to ban accounts for that reason

Okay I'll try it then but would still be nice to know why I have this issue as I had the same with Roblox but not a problem for that as I just used sober now but worries I'll have it again in the future with something else
