Does the penalty system reset over time?

I recently got a 30-minute queue ban in Valorant due to previous penalties. I know Riot’s system starts with warnings and short bans before escalating to longer ones. My question is: If I avoid bad behavior (no reports, AFK, or toxicity) for a few weeks or months, will my penalty level reset back to just a warning, or will it always keep increasing if I ever get reported again?
